We’re finally starting a blog. I hope we can stay in touch better with all those friends and family we’ve been neglecting. Holland and I went to the J R Pony Farm today with my ward’s play group. They had ponies, goats, chickens, tortoises and cute little play houses. It would have been a lovely time if it hadn’t been for Holland’s hat envy. One of the little girls there had a cowboy hat she had to have, and she cried and tantrumed until she actually got it. I hate those experiences that teach her if she just cries long enough she’ll get what she wants. Unfortunately, by then she was so worked up that hat or no hat she still ended up crying and life was miserable until my sister-in-law Kim was ready to go (we carpooled with her and her boys.) My daughter is a sweet, smart, fun girl, but incredibly difficult when she’s tired.
In other news . . . . It’s a boy! We’re so excited. He’s due October 25th. We’re planning on having him at Centennial Hills Hospital. The hardest part now is finding a good name. Right now it’s Mason Blake, and although we decided that Rutger is just a little too different and hard to say, I keep going back to it. I’m glad we have some time to think about it.
